Hamirpur: Rs 1.33 crore approved for Ayurvedic hospital
Hamirpur: The Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of District Ayurvedic Hospital approved an expenditure of Rs 1.33 crore for the current financial year in its annual meeting held here today. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Amarjit Singh. The DC said that the income and expenditure of the RKS was discussed in detail and it is expected to increase this year. He said that the main income of the committee is earned from various services including rent from shops in the hospital, parking charges and other services. He said that the RKS is expected to get Rs 21.55 lakh from the said sources this year.
The DC said that the cumulative fund collection of the RKS including previous years is about Rs 98.68 lakh. He said that the committee also approved spending Rs 34.39 lakh for improving the infrastructure of the hospital. The DC said that the RKS has assured to improve the facilities in the premises by purchasing additional furniture, CCTV cameras, a computer, material for panchkarma medicines, better arrangements for garbage management and new equipment and organising medical camps for the people of the area. Singh said that hospital officials have been advised to make purchases only as per government guidelines. He said that if departmental approval is required, then the officials should follow the government instructions. He also stressed on taking financial funds from the department.
