Ganja recovered from two cars, 5 smugglers arrested
Gaurela Pendra Marwahi. To make Chhattisgarh drug-free, the police is continuously taking strict action against drug smugglers. In this episode, today on Tuesday, GPM police has taken major action against interstate ganja smugglers. Police has arrested 5 interstate smugglers smuggling ganja. Also, 1.6 quintals of ganja, 7 mobile phones and 2 four-wheelers including a total of ₹ 53 lakh were recovered and seized.
According to the information, a joint team of Gaurela police station and Cyber Cell GPM checked vehicles near Harratola on the morning of September 2 on the information of the informer. During this, a white Mahindra TUV 300 vehicle was stopped, in which a large amount of ganja was recovered.
Police detained two youths in the car, Tulsi Sharma and Uday Chauhan and interrogated them. On the basis of interrogation of both and technical analysis, three more accused have been arrested by the police from Bilaspur. These include Sakti resident Uttara Khunte alias Sahil, Anuj Adile and Arun Chandra. Another accused Sajan fled from the spot, whose search is on.
