Rain in Odisha expected, yellow warning issued for 21 districts
Bhubaneswar: Rain in Odisha is expected for the next few days yellow warning has been issued for as many as 21 districts said reports on Friday. There is a low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal.
Rain in Odisha will be experienced for the next 2 to 3 days. The Low pressure shall be centered over the West Central Bay of Bengal, the depression will move northward.
As a result of the depression, rain will continue in the state till September 10. Yellow alert has been issued in 21 districts due to thunderstorm and heavy rain today. The amount and extent of rain will increase tomorrow, the latest weather bulletin said.
Yellow alert has been issued to 22 districts due to heavy rain. Alert has been issued to Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Baleswar, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur.
There will be rain in south coast and interior Odisha on September 8. Warning has been issued in 19 districts due to heavy rain. Wind speed will increase with heavy rain from September 9.
Fishermen are not allowed to venture into the sea. Rain will occur in North Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. There will be heavy rain in the upper and lower river basin areas in the Gangetic plain.
