Haryana: Young man commits suicide after killing his fiancee
Haryana: Kurukshetra Police has registered a murder case against a youth who allegedly killed his fiancée and then committed suicide. They were found dead in a hotel room last night. The deceased have been identified as Kanwaldeep, a resident of Dabwali, and Anamika (23), a resident of Ambala. Brijpal, a resident of Ambala, said in his complaint that he has five daughters and Anamika was one of them.
She was pursuing MA from Kurukshetra University and lived in a hostel. “Three years ago, they were engaged. However, I had told her that the marriage would take place after her elder sisters got married. On Friday, she told us that Saturday was Kanwaldeep’s birthday and she would return after celebrating his birthday. On Saturday night, they were found dead in a hotel room. Anamika was strangled and lying dead on the floor, while Kanwaldeep was found hanging,” the complainant said. SHO of Thanesar City Police Station, Satish Kumar said that the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. After post-mortem, the bodies have been handed over to the relatives and a case has been registered.
