Chandigarh: Single court settlement for traffic challans

Chandigarh: The UT police approached vehicle owners with a large number of pending challans and informed them about the option to settle all their challans in a single court. During the National Lok Adalat organised today, 15 vehicle owners appeared in the court to settle their pending challans. The court processed 706 traffic challans related to these vehicles and imposed a total fine of Rs 1,33,800. Under this single settlement initiative, one person settled 132 pending challans by paying a fine of Rs 26,100. Residents with multiple pending challans are encouraged to avail this opportunity by visiting the Challaning Branch at Traffic Lines in Sector 29 to settle their dues in court.
