Prominent banker Debendra Nath Mahapatra passes away at 85

Bhubaneswar: Debendra Nath Mahapatra, a prominent banker and former senior official of State Bank of India, has passed away on Saturday. He breathed his last at the age of 85. Debendra Nath Mohapatra was the former chairman of Balangir Regional Rural Bank.

In the 60s, Debendra Nath Mohapatra was an economics professor at BJB College. He is the father of senior sports journalist Sambit Mohapatra.
