Royal Enfield recalls motorcycle over reflector issue globally including India
Royal Enfield has issued a rare recall notice for its entire product portfolio due to a safety issues with the reflectors. The recall will affect the mkdels that have been manufactured between November 2022 and March 2023.
The company said the reflectors installed on the rear and/or sides might not meet the reflective performance requirements. There is no information on the exact numbers of the motorcycles affected by the recall, as the company has not made any clarification regarding this.
Currently, the company offers a total of 11 motorcycles in its portfolio and it seems all these bikes are a part of this recall. The company did confirm that the issue was seen in a very small number of bikes.
The company will notify the customers whose bikes are affected by this recall. They will be contacted in a phased manner. The affected motorcycle owners can visit their bikes to the nearest service centre for the repair. The company will replace the side and rear reflectors for free of cost.
Royal Enfield has claimed that all this will be done in just approximately 15 minutes. The recall has been issued in multiple countries including India, Brazil, Latin America, Europe, the UK and also South Korea, Canada and the US.
