Himachal: Major General Ranjit Singh promoted

Himachal Pradesh: Major General Ranjit Singh, who hails from Hamirpur town, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in the Indian Army today. He took over as Major General in January 2022. Lt Gen Ranjit Singh is a resident of Hira Nagar and son of Late Lt Col Kishan Chand. His grandfather retired from the British Army in 1932. He was commissioned into the Army in December 1989. He has served as the Indian Army Attaché in Russia.
