People have been affected in 23 districts
According to media reports, there has been an increase in the number of families living below the poverty line in 23 districts of the state. An increase of 129 families in the year 2021 and 172 in the year 2022 has been recorded in Sabarkantha district. On the other hand, 309 families have increased in the year 2021 and 119 in the year 2022 in Amreli district.
Big districts and metro cities also registered growth
Talking about big districts and metropolitan cities, the number of families living below the poverty line has also increased there. In the cities of Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Kutch, Banaskantha, Gandhinagar, Anand, Junagadh, 2, 4, 78, 199, 4, 170, 149 families have come below the poverty line in the last two years respectively. With this, a total of 1397 families have come below the poverty line in two years 2021 and 2022 across the state.
