Himachal: Patwari arrested on corruption charges

Himachal Pradesh: Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Kangra has arrested Kapil Dev on corruption charges. Dev was posted as a Patwari in Ambari Circle of Nagarota Bagwan Tehsil. The Vigilance Bureau said that the Patwari was arrested while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from complainant Manoj Kumar resident of Nagarota Bagwan. The Patwari was allegedly demanding bribe to issue a farmer certificate to the complainant. A case has been registered against him under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
