Punjab: 99 farms caught fire in one day

Punjab: 99 incidents of stubble burning were reported in the state on Wednesday. While the state machinery was busy with panchayat elections, the state once again witnessed a surge in stubble burning incidents. 272 ​​incidents of stubble burning were reported across the state in the last two days.
The state reported 123 incidents of stubble burning on October 10, 143 on October 11 and 177, 162, 68 and 173 incidents of stubble burning on October 12, 13, 14 and 15 respectively. Tarn Taran topped the list of districts with maximum stubble burning with 35 incidents, followed by Amritsar (25) and Ferozepur (16). Sangrur reported 10 incidents of paddy residue burning.
