Punjab: Pakistani drone found near the border
Punjab: A Pakistani drone equipped with sensors and cameras was found in a field in Dullapur Keri village near the International Border (IB) in Hindumalkot Police Station Area. Sources said that a farmer who went to his fields about 2.5 km inside the Indian territory near the international border on Friday afternoon saw a drone lying there. He informed the concerned authorities about it. Soon after this, officials of Border Security Force (BSF), police and intelligence agencies reached there. A search operation was conducted in the area, but no drugs or illegal weapons were found there. Police sources said that Pakistani smugglers may have sent the drone with a consignment of drugs, weapons or fake notes, but some malfunction occurred in the equipment and it crashed. Any consignment attached with the drone may have been collected by the smugglers in the Indian territory before the officials reached there. The DJI Mavic-3 drone is reportedly equipped with a camera and advanced omnidirectional obstacle sensing equipment.
