Punjab: Miscreants looted Rs 3.2 lakh from a person
Punjab: Balwinder Singh, a resident of Shajrana village, alleged that he was robbed of Rs 3.20 lakh on the link road from Chahalan to Tahliwala Bodla village. Balwinder’s uncle, Shajrana village sarpanch Bishamber Singh said that Balwinder was returning to his native village with Rs 2.20 lakh from his friend Ladhuka village. He said that Balwinder had a total of Rs 3.20 lakh in cash, out of which he had bought one lakh rupees from home. Bishamber said that when Balwinder reached the Chahalan-Tahliwala Bodla link road, some people sitting in a car parked in the middle of the road threw red chilli powder in his eyes and fled after robbing the money. Bishamber Singh said that he has informed the police. SHO of Arniwala police station Lekh Raj said that the incident has not been confirmed yet. He said that the victims had earlier informed the police about it, but later they did not come.
