In the year 2021, the Union Cabinet had declared it as Tribal Pride Day on November 15 to commemorate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda, since then every year 15 November is being celebrated as Tribal Pride Day.

Regarding the comprehensive organization of Tribal Pride Day at the state level, Principal Secretary Sonamni Bora has directed the district level officers regarding the necessary preparations for the event through video conferencing.
