Nephew tried to kill his grandfather, set him on fire by pouring petrol
Jagdalpur. In village Taraguda of Nagarnar police station area of the district, the nephew tried to burn his grandfather alive over a land dispute. In the incident, the grandfather suffered more than 70 percent burns and has been admitted to Mecaza in a critical condition. Police officers said that 35-year-old Shibo Kashyap, who lives in Ulnar, was angry with 60-year-old Lakhmuram, who lives in Taraguda, and there was a dispute between the two over land.
Shibo is Lakhmu’s nephew. In the midst of the dispute, Shibo suddenly reached Lakhmu’s house at night and started abusing him. Meanwhile, he sprinkled petrol on Lakhmu and lit a matchstick. Lakhmu’s face, chest, both hands, both knees have been badly burnt in the incident. Police have registered an FIR against the accused youth and the accused is being searched.
