Goods train accident in Gaurela-Pendra Marwahi
GPM. A major rail accident took place at Bhanwartonk railway station in Gaurela-Pendra Marwahi district. 23 coaches of a coal-loaded goods train coming from Bilaspur climbed over each other and derailed. Some coaches overturned due to which the coal filled in the coaches fell on the railway track.
Due to this incident, all trains on the Bilaspur-Pendra Road-Katni railway route have come to a halt. Shahdol-Bilaspur MEMU has stopped at Pendra Road railway station after the accident. As soon as the information was received, the railway staff reached the spot and started clearing the track.
According to the information, this accident took place near Marhi Mata Mandir signal near Bhanwartonk railway station at 11:11 am today, which is in the middle of a dense forest. It is a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life in this accident. Due to this, operations on both up-down lines on this route have been disrupted.
