Punjab: 1.71 lakh narcotic pills seized
Punjab: Khuiyan Sarwar police on Sunday recovered around 1,71,500 narcotic pills and 14 kg poppy husk from a Rajasthan-registered truck. Assistant Sub Inspector Iqbal Singh said a special check post was set up near Kallar Kheda village bus stand on Abohar-Sriganganagar highway. A suspicious truck was stopped and searched, during which the contraceptives were recovered. The driver of the truck, Mangal Lal Bishnoi, resident of Rawat Nagar village of Jodhpur, managed to escape from the spot. A case has been registered under sections 15, 22, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act.
