BSF detains Bangladeshi teenager, commotion intensifies at border

Bengal. The persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh is not stopping. Troubled by this, a 17-year-old Hindu girl ran away all night and entered the Indian border. She was detained by Border Security Force officials and handed over to the West Bengal Police. Let us tell you that she is a devotee of ISKCON. She said that for the past several weeks her family was receiving threats for being from the minority community. The situation went out of control when fundamentalists in Bangladesh threatened to kidnap her and kill the rest of her family members. That’s when she decided to flee from her country.

According to the girl, she would have had to wait a long time to come to India legally, so she decided to run away on foot towards the border. However, the Border Security Force caught her and sent her to police custody. It was here that she narrated the story of her escape.

According to the police, the teenage girl had illegally crossed the border in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal. She claimed that some of her relatives live in India and apparently she was going to their house. The police want to be sure about this. Now the matter is being investigated. It is also being tried to find out whether someone else was with her in crossing the border or someone helped her.

The officer said, “The girl has some relatives in Jalpaiguri district. We have contacted them. We are trying to find out who helped her cross the border.” The police officer said, “The girl is a resident of Panchagarh district of Bangladesh. She crossed the border on foot, but was spotted by BSF jawans near Fatehpur border post in Chopra block of North Dinajpur.”
