Punjab: Two arrested on charges of illegal mining

Punjab: Mining department officials have arrested two persons allegedly involved in illegal mining in the area of ​​Noorshah village in Fazilka district. Mining Inspector Sonu Ram said that the mining team raided Mauzam drain in the area of ​​Noorshah village and arrested two persons, identified as Jaswinder Singh resident of Muthian Wali village and Chhinder Singh resident of Noorshah, for illegal mining from the drain. The accused were handed over to Sadar police Fazilka. Police seized one JCB machine. The accused have been booked under Section 21(4) of the Mining Act.
