Himachal: Man murdered in Jawali, accused arrested

Himachal Pradesh: Jawali Police of Nurpur Police District today arrested Karnail Singh alias Shunka of Banauli village for the murder of 44-year-old Rashpal Singh of the same village. According to information received from the police, the victim had gone to a religious program in the nearby Bharmad village last night. Suddenly the accused approached him and attacked him with a sharp weapon. They were neighbors and the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained by the police. The seriously injured victim was rushed to a private hospital in Harnota where the doctor declared him dead. On receiving information, Jawali Police reached the spot and took possession of the body. The body was handed over to the family after conducting post-mortem at Civil Hospital Nurpur on Monday. SP Ashok Ratan said that the police have registered a case of murder against the accused and further investigation into this blind murder is underway.
