Jharkhand students from Bhubaneswar’s KISS meet outgoing Odisha Governor Raghubar Das
Bhubaneswar: More than thousand Jharkhand students from Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) paid a courtesy visit to outgoing Odisha Governor Raghubar Das at the Governor House in the capital city on Thursday. Das was extremely happy to get the student guests. He felicitated them.
As per reports, during his stint as the Governor of Odisha, earlier, Das had visited KISS when he came to know that more than 2,000 students from Jharkhand study in KISS.
At that time, he had invited the Jharkhand students to come and visit him at the Odisha Raj Bhavan. However, it could not happen. Yet, recently after the Governor’s term abruptly ended, Governor Raghubar Das told KIIT and KISS founder Dr. Achyuta Samant about this yesterday. Therefore, today, more than a thousand students of Jharkhand who are studying in KISS, Bhubaneswar, reached Raj Bhavan and paid a courtesy visit on the Governor. They also had lunch with the Governor.
Das was very happy to get the students at Raj Bhavan. He felicitated them and presented them with pens.
Besides, the outgoing Governor highly praised Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS, KIMS, Kalinga TV and Kadambini, who dedicated his life for the tribals.
Advisor to the Governor Santosh Satapathy, who was also present at the event, highly appreciated the work of Dr. Samanta.
