Senior student arrested in case of rape of junior student

Kondagaon. A 17-year-old minor has been detained by Kondagaon City Police Station. Recently, a 17-year-old 11th class student had raped a 10th class student. Due to this, the student gave birth to a premature baby girl. The SHO of City Police Station, Kondagaon said that the detained senior minor had raped his junior minor by luring her with marriage.

The police said that the victim minor was threatened with death. Due to which the family members could not get to know about it. The case was revealed when the premature baby was born on 11 January. Since then, the police was investigating how the minor got pregnant. A similar case had also come to light from the girls’ hostel in Korba. On 6 January of this month, the collector had taken action in the case of an 11th class student becoming a mother. On the instructions of Collector Ajit Vasant, the hostel superintendent was suspended and an investigation was ordered into the matter. Late on Monday night, a Class 11 student living in a hostel gave birth to a newborn baby. Since this information has been received, there has been a stir in the education department.
