Dr Achyuta Samanta takes blessings of Buddhist monks at Guru Padma Puja Mahasamabesha in Udayagiri
Jajpur: On the third day of the first Guru Padma Puja Mahasamabesha organized by Light of Buddhism Foundation International in Udayagiri, Jajpur, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta joined and received blessings from Buddhist monks.
About 1500 Buddhist monks from 17 countries including India participated in this grand gathering. Dr. Samanta reached there after receiving an invitation for this gathering. Buddhist religious leader Lama Jigme Rinpoche is a well-wisher of Dr. Achyut Samanta and invited him for this program.
On this occasion, Dr. Samanta met Lama Jigme Rinpoche’s father, His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche, and received blessings.
On this occassion, Dr. Samanta said that Buddhist monks from 17 different countries have come to join the gathering at the Buddhist ashrams established in Ratnagiri and Udayagiri, the pride and glory of Odisha with a thousand years of history. It is a matter of great fortune to participate in this religious program.
