Telangana: Srinivas Goud demands strict action against felling of palm trees

Hyderabad: Expressing serious objection to the felling of palm trees in Kormula village of Ghatkesar, former Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud has demanded the State government to initiate strict action against those responsible for the act. On receiving information about felling of palm trees in the village, the former minister visited the spot on Sunday and interacted with the locals. All the trees were decades old and were helping toddy tappers to earn their livelihood. Srinivas Goud demanded that the government should direct the officials to take steps to replant the trees in the village, besides registering a criminal case against those involved in the incident.
