3 labourers killed, 2 injured in lightning strike in Balasore district
Nilagiri: In a tragic incident at least 3 persons including 2 labourer women and a JCB operator were killed while 2 others got injured due to lightning strike on Saturday in Balasore district of Odisha.
The incident took place in Chhatrapur in Nilagiri area of Balasore district.
The two deceased women have been identified as Mami Singh of Ashokanal village under Barhampur police station limits and Alumani Singh of Badheipala village. The identity of the JCB operator has not been found yet.
As per reports, 3 persons were killed in lightning strike while canal work was in progress in Chhatrapur area.
Following the unfortunate incident, the locals rushed the lightning victims to the hospital. However, the doctor there declared two women and a JCB operator dead.
