Dacoity gang busted, 4 arrested in Odisha’s Balasore district

Soro: Police yesterday night busted a dacoity gang in Balasore district of Odisha and arrested 4 persons. Police also seized looted ornaments, arms and weapons and a vehicle from the dacoits.

As per information, Simulia police have managed to arrest a three-member gang of dacoits while patrolling last night. Police have seized silver ornaments, bracelets, iron rods, hand grenades and a bike from the possession of the dacoits.

Police also arrested four people, three dacoits and a jeweller who had bought the looted ornaments from the robbers. The four were arrested and forwarded to the Court of law, informed Sadar SDPO Subhransu Shekhar Nayak and Simulia PS IIC Shravan Kumar Maharana in a press conference today.

The robbers are from Simulia area and they are involved in a number of crimes in the past, Police said.
