He said that Vajpayee elevated India’s stature at the national and international levels and showed a clear path to the younger generation. The conference was organized on the ideals and thoughts of Vajpayee.
The program was inaugurated at the Atal Parishad Auditorium with the offering of floral tributes to Vajpayee’s portrait in the presence of Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav and other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Sattan praised the Mayor for naming a prominent auditorium in the city after Atal Sadan, calling it a commendable initiative. He said that Vajpayee’s birth centenary year should be dedicated to following his ideals, and added that his thoughts will continue to inspire generations.
Bhargav said that Vajpayee’s thoughts remain universally relevant even today. “He enhanced the stature of Hindi globally and set a lasting example of good governance through his leadership. Working according to Atalji’s ideals is true good governance,” he said.
The Mayor said that on Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, the Indore Municipal Corporation held a special meeting of the Mayor-in-Council and passed a resolution to rename the Agra-Mumbai Road in the central part of the city as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Marg. He said that the IMC Council Hall has been named Atal Sadan, a link road from Annapurna to Sudama Nagar is being renamed, and a 25-foot-tall statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee is being installed on this route.
