3% discount on unreserved tickets on ‘Railvan’ app from January 14

Tamil Nadu: To promote digital transformation in the railways, a 3% discount has been announced on unreserved tickets purchased through the ‘RailOne’ app.

This offer is reportedly valid for six months, from January 14th to July 14th.

As of now, the 3% cashback offer is only available to those purchasing tickets through the ‘R-Wallet’ on the ‘RailOne’ app. However, according to the new announcement, this 3% discount will be available directly to those purchasing tickets through all payment methods.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Railways has ordered the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) to make the necessary changes to the software system.

Furthermore, the CRIS Centre has been directed to submit a report on the program’s activities and passenger reception by May next year. Based on this, further extensions of this discount may be considered.
