Delhi Ex-CM Atishi Video Not Tampered, Says Delhi Speaker Gupta, Citing Forensic Report

New Delhi: The former Delhi CM Atishi video controversy is creating a stir in the national capital. There are allegations that MLA Atishi disrespected Sikh gurus while speaking in the Assembly. The BJP has released the video of the incident that took place during the winter session. However, the Punjab government has alleged that the video was tampered with. However, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta clarified today that the video was not tampered with. According to the forensic science lab, the video was not tampered with.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has alleged that the video of MLA Atishi’s speech was edited. The Punjab government has demanded action against Delhi Minister Kapil Sharma, who posted the assembly video on social media. In this context, Speaker Gupta spoke at a media conference today. He said that the video clip was sent to the forensic lab on January 8 as demanded by the AAP. However, Sseekar Gupta said that the comments made by former CM Atishi in the video clip are frame by frame.
On January 6, a discussion was held in the Assembly on Sikh Gurus. The discussion was held on the occasion of the 350th death anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. However, former CM Atishi insisted on a discussion on the issue of Delhi pollution and stray dogs. In the process, she commented that dogs should also be respected. A huge uproar broke out in the Delhi Assembly over those comments. The BJP demanded that Atishi apologize. They also demanded that her membership be cancelled.
The Aam Aadmi Party leader went missing after a video of her speech in the Assembly was leaked. She has not stepped foot in the Assembly again since then. But the video controversy is still raging.
