Mexico Shooting 11 Killed In Armed Attack At Football Ground Salamanca

Shootings have caused chaos in Mexico. Gunmen opened fire indiscriminately on a football field. 11 people were killed in the incident. More than 12 were injured. Officials said a woman and a child were among the dead.

The incident took place on Sunday night in the city of Salamanca, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Several fans were still on the field after a soccer match. At the same time, several assailants opened fire. Locals say that about 100 rounds were fired. The reasons behind the incident are not known.

However, Salamanca Mayor Cesar Prieto said that an organized crime gang was behind the incident. He asked the Mexican government to cooperate in restoring peace and security. He said that crime gangs are making serious efforts to subdue the authorities.

Guanajuato has been embroiled in a power struggle between gangs involved in oil exploitation and drug trafficking for some time. In particular, there has been a conflict between the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the Santa Rosa de Lama Cartel. The recent shooting at a soccer field is also suspected to be a war between these two gangs.
