Uninterrupted power supply: Electricity Board’s instructions

Tamil Nadu: The Electricity Board has directed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the public due to various reasons, including the general elections, elections, and cooking gas cylinder shortages.
The dates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are soon to be announced. Additionally, the general elections for school students are underway, exacerbating the heat. During these times, daily electricity consumption in Tamil Nadu is high. Meanwhile, a shortage of cooking gas cylinders has increased across the country. Consequently, many people are increasingly using electric stoves in their homes and businesses. This will further increase daily electricity consumption. As electricity consumption increases, power outages are likely.
Therefore, the Electricity Board has directed the relevant officials to take steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the interest of the public and students, and to avoid any inconvenience to the government.
It has also been advised that in case of power cuts or interruptions, the public should be given correct information and the authorities should work diligently to restore power within the stipulated time.
