Mother And Child Jump Into Godavari Rescued By Fishermen

Bhadrachalam: There was a huge commotion on the Godavari Bridge in Bhadrachalam on Saturday afternoon. A woman from Palvancha in Bhadradri Kothagudem district attempted suicide by jumping into the river from the bridge along with her child.

According to locals, the woman from Palvancha reached the Godavari bridge in Bhadrachalam along with her child on Saturday afternoon and jumped into the river with the child. The passengers and locals who noticed it immediately screamed and the local fishermen immediately rescued them.

The mother and child were safely brought out and taken to the Bhadrachalam Area Hospital for primary treatment. It seems that the condition of both of them is currently stable. However, the reasons for their suicide are not yet known.
