Huge protest rally by chicken center managers in Suryapet

Expressing their grief that they are suffering severely as corporate poultry owners have turned into a syndicate and reduced the margin given to tenderers and small shops, the Suryapet Town Chicken Centers Union organized a massive rally in the town on Wednesday by shutting down chicken shops and protesting. Speaking on the occasion, Union President T. Tirumal Reddy expressed his grief that they are facing difficulties as corporate poultry owners are fixing the price of chicken on a daily basis and are being harassed by consumers. He urged the government to hold talks with the poultry owners and do them justice.
The honorary president of the association, S.K. Afzal, said that the corporate poultry farms should understand their pain and cooperate by giving them a margin like they had given in the past to ensure smooth running of the business. He also asked the consumers to understand the developments and the situation faced by the chicken shop owners and cooperate. Union leaders V.V. Reddy, Saidulu, Kiran Reddy, Ejaz, Imtiaz, Manikantha, Ananthu, Ayub Khan, Royal Malik, R.R. Venkatesh, Reshma Farid, and Raju participated in this protest program.
