Revanth government is doing injustice to Dalits: Harish Rao

Senior leader of the BRS party and former minister Harish Rao said that the Revanth Reddy government is doing injustice to Dalits. He criticized that funds were allocated to the SC Corporation and were not being utilized. He was angry that those funds were limited to papers. He reminded that during the BRS regime, Ambedkar had launched the Overseas Scheme for the foreign education of poor children and Rs. 20 lakhs were given to each student and sent them abroad. He alleged that the Revanth government had also stopped that scheme.

Harish Rao spoke to the media after unveiling the statue of Ambedkar in Tadakapalli village of Siddipet district today on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. He said that the decades-long dream of the villagers of Tadakapalli has come true. Despite all the development in the village, there was a deficiency in the form of the statue of Ambedkar, and today, with the unveiling of the statue of that great man, that deficiency has been filled. He said that he congratulated Tadakapalli Upasarpanch Bindla Sai and his son Narender for their efforts in installing the statue of Ambedkar.

Similarly, Harish Rao said that the reason why India is becoming the largest democratic country in the world is because of the spirit of the Constitution drafted by Ambedkar. Some people think that Ambedkar is related to Dalits, but he belongs to everyone, he said. He said that he worked for the upliftment of the oppressed sections of the SC, ST and BC communities. He said that it is not only about putting up statues of Ambedkar, but also following his ideals, then we will have paid true tribute to him.

He said that the fact that SCs and STs are in high positions in politics and jobs today is a gift from Ambedkar. Harish Rao suggested that everyone should follow Ambedkar’s policy of ‘Educate. Mobilize. Fight’. He called for teaching Ambedkar’s ideas to the people. He called for mobilizing the people and then fighting for their rights. Revanth was furious that the government had broken its promise to increase reservations for SCs and STs. He criticized that at least students are not being given fee reimbursement money.

Similarly, Harish Rao urged the youth to adopt Ambedkar’s thought patterns. He said that if they follow Ambedkar’s path, their future will be bright. He warned that if they get addicted to drugs and online games, their lives will be ruined. He urged them not to become addicted to drugs and online games and burden their parents with debt.
