UP Govt Responds to Noida Phase 2 Workers’ Protest

It has been said that this will be applicable to workers at all levels.
Gautam Buddhanagar District Magistrate Medha Rupa, where the protests took place, revealed this. Medha Rupa said that CM Yogi Adityanath has taken a decision to increase the wages in accordance with the recommendations of a high-level committee formed by the state government. He said that the decision to increase the wages will come into effect from April 1. According to the decision of this committee.. The minimum wage for unskilled workers in Gautam Buddhanagar and Ghaziabad has been fixed at Rs. 13,690 per month. Earlier, this wage was Rs. 11,313. Semi-skilled workers will be paid Rs. 15,059 per month, and skilled workers Rs. 16,868. Unskilled workers in the municipal corporation will be paid Rs. 13,006 per month, semi-skilled workers Rs. 14,306, and skilled workers Rs. 16,025 per month.
In the remaining districts of UP, unskilled workers are paid Rs 12,356 per month, semi-skilled workers Rs 13,591, and skilled workers Rs 15,224. The government said that the decision on these changes was taken after consulting employers’ associations and labor unions. Despite the government’s decision to increase wages, workers continued to protest in many places on Tuesday.
