Summer vacation: Special train for Nagercoil today

Tamil Nadu: The Southern Railway Zone has announced that a one-way special high-speed train will run from Chennai Egmore to Nagercoil on Wednesday (April 22) to coincide with the summer holidays.

Press release issued regarding this: To avoid the summer rush of train passengers, a one-way special express train (No. 06072) leaving Chennai Egmore at 1.25 pm on Wednesday (April 22) will reach Nagercoil station at 2.30 am the next day. The special train will consist of 1 air-conditioned double-decker coach, 2 air-conditioned triple-decker coaches, 10 sleeper coaches, 6 general second-class coaches, and 2 second-class coaches for the disabled.

It is reported that this train will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Virudhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Trichy, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Junction, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Tirunelveli stations.
