Tamil Nadu: Registration for Engineering Admission Counseling Begins Today
Tamil Nadu: The application registration process for students seeking admission to engineering courses begins today—May 3rd. This process is being conducted under the engineering counseling system administered by Anna University, through which admissions to government, government-aided, and private engineering colleges across the state are facilitated.
More than 460 engineering colleges operate under the aegis of Anna University. Each year, approximately 200,000 seats for undergraduate (UG) courses in these colleges are filled through a single-window counseling system. The objective of this process is to provide students with a transparent and equitable opportunity, ensuring that all eligible candidates secure a college and branch of their choice based on their merit.
Once again, it is mandatory to apply in order to participate in the admission counseling for seats under the government quota in government, government-aided, and private engineering colleges. Provisions have also been made for students who lack access to internet facilities. Such candidates can submit their applications through designated Special Service Centres. At these centers, students will receive assistance in filling out their applications and providing the necessary information.
The entire application process is conducted exclusively in online mode, allowing candidates to make fee payments through digital channels. The application process will be considered complete only after the requisite fees have been successfully paid. Students are advised to fill in all details with utmost care to avoid any errors.
The deadline for uploading the original certificates (documents) required for the counseling process has been set for June 6th. Documents submitted after this date will not be accepted; therefore, students must ensure that all necessary documents are uploaded in a timely manner.
