Tamil Nadu: Two youths singing Themmangu songs murdered in Kanchipuram
Tamil Nadu: A tragic incident occurred on Sunday in the Varadarajapuram area of Sriperumbudur in Kanchipuram district, where two young men singing Themmangu songs were murdered. The deceased were identified as Bharath alias Bharathkumar (25) and Seenu alias Srinivasan (24). Both were residents of the area and participated in local cultural events.
According to reports, the two young men had performed Themmangu songs at a concert in Patpai on Saturday night. After the concert, they returned to Manimangalam that night. They subsequently stayed at the home of a man named Mohan in Pasumpontheru, Ammanambakkam, under the Orathur Panchayat, near Manimangalam.
A major attack occurred at the same location on Sunday. It was reported that six masked men arrived on two two-wheelers. The attackers attacked and killed the two young men before fleeing the scene. The incident sparked panic in the area, and locals immediately alerted the police.
Upon receiving information, Manimangalam police arrived at the scene, took possession of both bodies, and sent them to the government hospital in Chrompet for post-mortem examination. Police investigated the scene and collected preliminary evidence.
Manimangalam police have registered a murder case. Based on preliminary investigations, a search has been launched for six unidentified masked suspects. Given the seriousness of the case, police have initiated the process of forming a special team to investigate various aspects to identify and arrest the accused.
At present, the motive for the murder has not been clearly established, and police are investigating all possible angles. Locals are concerned about the incident, and people are raising questions about the security situation.
