Tiruvannamalai: Police conduct night foot patrolling after harassment of women
Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu: Following the recent incidents of sexual assault on women in Tiruvannamalai district, police conducted night patrolling across the district on Wednesday night to enhance security and maintain public confidence. Two women were sexually assaulted in the incident that took place on the full moon day in the district. In this case, the police arrested eight people and sent them to jail. This incident created a huge uproar in the area and created a feeling of insecurity among the people.
Following the incident, police officers and guards led by District Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudhakar carried out foot patrolling in the entire district.
