Tiger attacks Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve, two people injured, including a female forest guard

Madhya Pradesh: A female forest guard and a security guard were injured in a tiger attack in the Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve in Sagar district on Sunday morning. The incident occurred in the Mohli Circle area when a forest department patrol team was on a routine patrol. Following the attack, both injured were immediately rescued and admitted to the district hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

According to reports, a motorcycle patrol was underway in the Mohli Circle area at around 8 a.m. The team’s objective was to monitor wildlife activity in the forest area and monitor any potential threats. Meanwhile, the patrol team spotted fresh tiger footprints on a muddy path, confirming its presence in the area.

The patrol staff assumed the tiger was moving to the right, so they decided to proceed cautiously. However, the tiger suddenly attacked the team, causing panic. The female forest guard and a security guard were injured in the attack, while other staff members managed to escape and escape.

Relief and rescue operations were immediately initiated following the incident, and both injured were safely evacuated and taken to the district hospital. According to doctors, both are currently in stable condition, although they are being kept under observation.

Forest department officials stated that upon receiving information about the incident, senior officers arrived at the scene and the entire area was put on alert. Special teams have been deployed to track the tiger’s location, and an intensive search operation is being conducted in the forest with the help of elephants.
