Karnataka: Radha Mohan Das warns leaders
Karnataka: The party leadership has taken a tough stance regarding the ongoing internal strife and rhetoric between leaders within the BJP. BJP state in-charge Dr. Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal has issued a clear message to senior party leaders, stating that any activity that undermines organizational unity and discipline will not be tolerated at any cost.
According to sources, he warned the leaders that they should either cease public rhetoric and internal disputes and focus on strengthening the party organization, or they will have to choose a different path for their future. The party in-charge clearly indicated that discipline is a top priority in the BJP and that no leader will be allowed to tarnish the organization’s image.
In fact, differences and accusations have surfaced among several Karnataka BJP leaders in recent days. After the Legislative Council elections, some party leaders questioned each other and made public statements. Complaints regarding these incidents reached the party high command, prompting the central leadership to send the state in-charge to Karnataka to gather information on the matter.
In this context, Dr. Radha Mohan Das Agrawal arrived in Bengaluru on Thursday and held a meeting with senior leaders at the party office. He discussed the entire matter in meetings that lasted approximately three to four hours. During this meeting, he held separate discussions with leaders who were being linked to the internal party dispute.
The leaders invited to the meeting included former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Yelahanka MLA S.R. Vishwanath, Chikkaballapur MP K. Sudhakar, and Honnali MP and former minister Renukacharya.
Radha Mohan Das Agrawal met with all the leaders individually. The conversation reportedly lasted over half an hour with each leader. During this meeting, he sought information about the ongoing dispute within the party, their statements, and their impact on the organization.
Following this, all the leaders were also seated together for a meeting. The meeting focused on maintaining party unity, conveying a positive message to party workers, and avoiding future public conflicts.
The BJP leadership believes that organizational strength is paramount in electoral politics, and that differences between leaders can impact the morale of workers. Therefore, the party has begun efforts to control the situation in a timely manner.
According to sources, the state in-charge also conveyed to leaders that any issues within the party should be raised on the organizational platform. Public accusations and counter-accusations damage the party’s image and provide political issues for the opposition.
Following the Legislative Council elections, differences emerged between leaders within the Karnataka BJP on several issues. Some leaders questioned the party’s strategy and leadership, while others commented on each other’s working styles. Following these incidents, the party high command decided to review the situation.
According to political experts, the BJP does not want any weakness in the state unit in view of the upcoming elections and organizational activities. This is why the central leadership has intervened to coordinate among senior leaders and end the dispute.
