On Thursday, July 30, the department issued an ‘Orange Warning’ for Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, and Koraput districts, anticipating intense rainfall. Authorities have advised the public and the administration to remain alert.
According to the weather department, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at one or two locations across these four districts on July 30. Continuous rain could lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas, rising water levels in small rivers and streams, and localized traffic disruptions. The administration has been instructed to make necessary preparations to handle potential situations.
The IMD forecast indicates that monsoon clouds are active over several parts of southern and western Odisha.
