Raipur, 15 August 2026: Marking Independence Day with a commitment towards a greener and more
sustainable future, Ismaili CIVIC organised a tree plantation and sapling distribution drive at the Police
Ground Independence Day Parade and Flag Hoisting event in Raipur.
As part of the initiative, 500 saplings, including guava, hybrid papaya, custard apple, lemon, mulberry, molishri
and jarul, were planted and distributed to encourage environmental awareness and increase green cover.
The drive was supported by the Chhattisgarh Forest Department and Chhattisgarh Police Department, with 20
Ismaili CIVIC volunteers working together to make the initiative a success.
The initiative reflects Ismaili CIVIC’s commitment to community service, environmental stewardship and
collective action towards building a healthier and greener tomorrow.
