Political uproar over depicting Tejashwi as a 10-headed Ravana

A political controversy has arisen over a picture shared by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Neeraj Kumar Sharma on social media platform X. In this picture, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav is shown as ten-headed Ravana. Not only this, in the picture Tejashwi Yadav is shown lying under the feet of Mata Durga. Through this post, the BJP leader has made serious allegations against Tejashwi Yadav like making false promises, promoting nepotism and corruption. After the post surfaced, RJD also gave a sharp reaction and rejected BJP’s allegations. Political rhetoric regarding this issue has intensified between the two parties.

BJP leader Neeraj Kumar Sharma shared a political picture from his official X handle on 17 October 2026. It depicts ten heads of Tejashwi Yadav and compares them with the mythological character Ravana.
Mother Durga is also shown in the picture. Tejaswi Yadav’s figure of Ravana is visible below the feet of the goddess.
Through this picture, the BJP leader targeted the politics of Tejashwi Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal. Issues like employment, law and order, nepotism and corruption have been raised in the post.
This political comment made using religious symbols during Navratri and Durga Puja has created a new controversy in the politics of Bihar.
BJP leader accused of telling ten lies
In his post, Neeraj Kumar Sharma compared Tejashwi Yadav with Ravana and wrote, “Ten heads – ten lies.”
He alleged that Tejashwi Yadav makes promises in the name of providing jobs to the youth. The BJP leader also accused RJD of giving protection to criminals, return of Jungle Raj, promoting nepotism and corruption.
The post accused the people of the state of being aware of a conspiracy to take Bihar back towards darkness.
Referring to the issue of land in exchange for job, Neeraj Kumar Sharma also raised the demand to return the land of the poor.
However, these are all political allegations made by the BJP leader. These should not be seen as findings established by any court.
RJD gave a befitting reply
Rashtriya Janata Dal has also reacted to the post of the BJP leader. RJD spokesperson Ajaz Ahmed rejected BJP’s allegations and mentioned Tejashwi Yadav’s tenure as Deputy Chief Minister.
He claimed that during the 17-month tenure of Tejashwi Yadav, 5.5 lakh jobs were given in Bihar. Apart from this, it was also said that three and a half lakh vacancies would be left.
Ejaz Ahmed also claimed reinstatement of more than two lakh teachers. He said that during his tenure, Tejashwi Yadav took forward the works related to providing employment to the youth and development of Bihar.
However, the employment related figures given by RJD spokesperson are their political claims. Independent verification of these figures has not been done in this news.
Advice to BJP to look into its tenure
RJD spokesperson Ajaz Ahmed hit back at the BJP, saying party leaders should review their own functioning before blaming others.
He asked BJP leaders to reflect on their achievements and political conduct during their tenure.
RJD has tried to answer BJP’s political allegations through employment and development issues.
At the same time, in the BJP leader’s post, questions have been raised regarding RJD’s rule and the political role of Tejashwi Yadav.
