Student returning from coaching molested, murdered for protesting

Hajipur (IANS) | The case of murder of a girl student has come to light for opposing molestation in Kartaha police station area of Vaishali district of Bihar. The police is probing the entire matter. According to the police, the student, a resident of a village in Kartaha area, had gone to study in coaching along with another student, both were returning late on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, four youths who came riding on the same bike near Thegadih School stopped a girl student and started molesting her. The miscreants beat up the girl student for opposing the molestation.

The girl’s friend ran away during this time and informed her family members about it. It is being told that the student died even before the arrival of the family.

Karataha station in-charge Praveen Kumar said on Friday that after getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took the body in their possession and sent it to the hospital for postmortem and the matter is being investigated.

He told that only after the postmortem report comes, the exact cause of death will be known. Kumar told that the family of the deceased student is already having a dispute with another family from the same village. The whole matter will be revealed only after the investigation.
