Make Tasty Puttu this time, know the recipe of Kerala’s famous food sitting at home

Many South Indian dishes are famous all over the country on the basis of their taste. Most of the people make South Indian dishes in their homes and taste them, be it Italian, Dosa or Uttapam. These are not only tasty to eat, but are also beneficial for health. Most of these foods are prepared from rice flour and coconut. The name of one such food dish is Puttu. It is prepared from boiled rice and coconut. In Kerala, it is made and eaten as a breakfast. Let us tell you that, to make this delicious dish, the help of a cylindrical mold is taken, which is called Puttu utensil. If you are fond of eating South dishes, then definitely try this famous food of Kerala at home. Let’s know how to make it.
Ingredients required for making puttu
Rice flour – about one and a half cups
Carrot chopped – 1/2 cup
Tricolor capsicum – 1/2 cup
Chopped coriander – 2 tbsp
Grated fresh coconut – 1 cup
salt – as per taste
To make Puttu, firstly fry the rice flour lightly. After this sprinkle some water in the flour and mix it. Now add chopped capsicum, green coriander, chopped carrots and salt as per taste to this flour and mix well. Then take a cup of fresh coconut and grate it. After this take a pot of kuttu or idli maker and put grated fresh coconut in it. After this put the mixture of puttu on top and cover it. Now place the container of puttu on the lid of this cooker and cook it in steam for about 15 minutes. After this turn off the gas and leave it for 15 minutes. After cooking for 15 minutes, it can be taken off and served with coconut chutney or sambar. It can be used any time from lunch to evening snack. Keep in mind that if you want to enjoy South Dish to the fullest, then do not forget to serve it on coconut leaves.
