CM Naveen Patnaik expressed grief over the accident, announced Rs 3 lakh each to the dependents of the deceased.

State Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed grief over the road accident in Ganjam district of Odisha. Along with this, it has also been announced to give compensation to the deceased dependents. Let us tell you that 12 people died tragically in a road accident in Ganjam district of Odisha in the early hours of Monday. Along with this, many people were also injured. The collision took place face-to-face between the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation and a private bus. In which 12 people died. While 8 people were injured. All the injured passengers have been admitted to MKCG Medical College, Barhamar. The accident happened near Digpahandi in Ganjam district at around one o’clock in the night.
Ganjam District Magistrate Divyajyoti Parida told that, “We have information about the death of 10 people in the accident, while six people are undergoing treatment at MKCG Hospital. One seriously injured person has been referred to the SCB Hospital in Cuttack.” Arrangements have been made here for the treatment of patients.” On the other hand, Berhampur’s SP Saravana Vivek while talking to media persons said, “This incident is of a head-on collision between two buses at around 1 am. Many passengers of the private bus have died and many have been injured in the accident.” While the occupants of the OSRTC bus received minor injuries.”
He told that the OSRTC bus was going from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar, while the private bus was returning from Berhampur carrying people from Khandadeuli village of the district for a wedding. Berhampur SP said that, soon after getting information about the accident, Digpahandi police and fire service personnel reached the spot and saved many passengers. He added that, “The real reason behind the accident is still not clear; our investigation is on.”

My condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in this accident. I pray for the immortal soul of the deceased and for the speedy recovery of all the injured.” I wish.”
Government will give 30 thousand rupees to each injured
Meanwhile, the Odisha government has announced Rs 30,000 for the treatment of each of the injured. The SRC tweeted, “10 people died in a tragic bus accident last night near Khemundi College under Sanakhemundi Tehsil. 8 injured people are undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur. Under the supervision of Ganjam Administration 30 thousand will be given to each of the injured. Till the last reports came in, two more people died, taking the death toll to 12. The dead include 6 men, four women and two minors.
