District included in high risk districts of dengue and malaria, monitoring will be done

Hanumangarh is included in high-risk districts regarding dengue and malaria. In this situation, teams from the state level will come for monitoring and supervision in Alwar, Dausa, anumangarh, Barmer, Jaisalmer and Udaipur districts. Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Shubhra Singh while giving instructions in the VC on Monday said that the month of July should be celebrated as Anti-Dengue Month.

He said that under this anti-dengue month, in the month of July, my health, my responsibility campaign will be launched and house to house survey will be done by forming teams of ANMs and ASHAs in all the districts. Last year, 8 thousand dengue patients had come, then this time the health department did not make efforts for prevention. Last year, dengue had wreaked havoc. Last year, 7 to 8 thousand people were affected by dengue in the district. There was a shortage of beds in the biggest Jawahar Hospital in the district.

Many other wards had to be opened. Also, treatment was done by installing beds in the verandahs. Along with this, he also directed to organize antilarval antidust and source reduction activities for prevention and control of mosquitoes. Shubhra Singh has given instructions to admit patients suffering from mosquito-borne diseases in mosquito-proof wards and to ensure availability of necessary logistics in all government hospitals.
