Landslide due to first monsoon rains in Nainital
Nainital | Landslides have started happening in the city in the first monsoon rain itself. Kilbury Road collapsed near Polytechnic College during light rain on Tuesday morning. About 20 meters of the road got cracked and got into the ditch.
The landslide also destroyed the water line of the area. Due to which the water crisis has deepened in the area. Due to the collapse of half of the same road, there is a problem in the movement of the villagers.
According to information, there was light rain in the city on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, about 20 meters of the Kilbury Road near the Polytechnic College caved in.
It is a matter of honor that during this time no vehicle was running on the road. The landslide damaged water supply lines to ATI, High Court, Sukhatal, Cheena House, Jubilee Hall, Gopala Sadan, Balrampur House, Oak Park, Narayan Nagar, Pitaria area.
Due to which the water crisis has deepened in the area. The cultivators and villagers arriving from more than half a dozen villages including Kilbari, Pangot, Ghugghukhan are facing difficulties in movement. People have demanded immediate landslide prevention as well as repair of the damaged water line.
