Teacher will remain in jail for 3 years, court sentenced in POCSO case
Ambikapur. In Ambikapur, who worship nature and forests, even today people address the teacher as Guruji. There is a culture and a civilization behind this word. But there are some people who do not hesitate even to tarnish the responsibility like Guru. A teacher has done obscene behavior with one of his own students. When the girl student protested, she even threatened to reduce her marks.
On February 21, 2018, 37-year-old Inayat Ullah Khan, a resident of Charcha in district Korea, had invited the Class 11 student to his coaching citing her weakness in studies. The student had gone to coaching with her friend. After the coaching was over, when her friend left to go home, the teacher caught hold of the student and started doing obscene acts with her. When the student raised a hue and cry in protest, he was threatened to fail in the examination.
The student somehow ran away from there and reached home and informed the family about the incident. After which a crime was registered against the accused teacher in the case. The police started investigating the matter and the accused teacher was arrested. On Tuesday, in the Fast Track Special Court, the bench of Additional Sessions Judge Pooja Jaiswal found the teacher guilty after hearing. The court has sentenced 1 year and one thousand rupees fine under section 354, 3 years imprisonment and 2 thousand rupees fine under section 8 Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
